 Sunday School
During the school year, St. John offers a Sunday school for children 3K-8th grade starting at 9:15 a.m.  The children will learn a Bible story from the Old or New Testament each week.  Students have an opportunity to hear a devotional message from pastor end of each class.  The children also learn hymns and songs in order to sing them during the worship services as well as portion of Luther’s Small Catechism.

Catechism Class
Members of St. John 6th-8th Grade learn the basics of God’s word through the study of Martin Luther’s Small Catechism.  This class teaches God’s word through studying the 10 Commandments, the Apostles Creed, The Ministry of the Keys, the sacrament of Holy Baptism, the sacrament of Holy Communion, and the Lord’s Prayer.  Once this class is completed the children present themselves to be communicant members of St. John.

Boy and Girl Pioneers
Our Lutheran Boy and Girl Pioneers group meets once a month to learn more about God’s beautiful creation.  Although many different subjects are taught and many skills are learned, you may find us sledding, practicing archery, camping, and much more.  For more information or to see a schedule of what we have planned for the current year, please contact one of our pastors.

VBS
St. John offers a one-week Vacation Bible School during the summer.  During this time the children will learn on Bible story per day, make crafts, learn songs, have a snack, and play games.  The children will also learn songs and parts of the Bible stories in order to share them at the worship service after VBS is completed.

Jesus: God’s Greatest Gift
On a Saturday in December St. John offers a one-day VBS called Jesus:  God’s Greatest Gift.  This if for children from 3K-8th grade learn the true story of Christmas—that God came down to this earth to be born as a baby.  This boy would eventually grow up to save the world from their sins through his death and resurrection.  Crafts, games, snacks and songs are done as part of this day also.

Christian Education
Although we do not operate our own school, we do highly encourage Christian education and we financially support member families to wish to make use of the many WELS Lutheran Elementary schools in our area.  For more information, including a list of schools visit http://fvlschools.org or talk to one of our pastors.

St. John is also a member of the Fox Valley Lutheran High School (FVL) federation.  FVL is a WELS high school located in Appleton, WI.  For more information visit http://www.fvlhs.org
